Recommended Action
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council adopt Resolution No. 22-0009:
1. Approving a Design Services Agreement with Glenn A. Rick Engineering and Development Company, DBA Rick Engineering Company, for the Aviation Boulevard Missing Sidewalk Project for $179,149.
2. Authorizing the City Manager to execute the Design Services Agreement.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
The Aviation Boulevard Missing Sidewalk Project (Project) is included in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-2022 Capital Improvement Program. A total budget for expenditures of $700,000 has been allocated in the Measure R Fund. Additionally, the project has budgeted revenues within the Measure R Fund of $540,000 from a grant from the Federal Transit Administration ("FTA") Section 5310 Program. This is a reimbursable grant that requires a $60,000 local match. There are sufficient funds available within the project budget to encumber $179,149 for design services.

BACKGROUND:
On July 2, 2019, City Council adopted Resolution No. 19-0056 approving the submittal of a grant application to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) for FTA Section 5310 Grant Program, Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities funds for the Project.
