RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution appointing City Manager Bruce Moe as the official representative and Director of Public Works Erick Lee as the alternate representative to the South Bay Regional Public Communications Authority's (Authority) Executive Committee.

There are no fiscal implications associated with the recommended action.
BACKGROUND:
The City is a member of the South Bay Regional Public Communications Authority (also known as the "RCC"), which provides emergency 9-1-1 dispatching services throughout the region. As part of the RCC's governance structure, the Board of Directors has established an Executive Committee which is responsible for the day-to-day management and control of the operations of the Authority.
The Executive Committee is responsible to the Board of Directors for the administration and management of Authority affairs, the provision of assistance and advice to the Board of Directors, adhering to the budget adopted by the Board of Directors (including any budget amendment or other appropriation approved by the Board of Directors), and supervision of the Executive Director.
DISCUSSION:
The Authority's bylaws require that the official representative to the Executive Committee from each member agency be its City Manager (or their designee).
