Recommended Action
RECOMMENDATION:
Consider adopting a resolution approving an agreement between the City of Manhattan Beach, Friends of the Senior and Scout Community Center (Friends) and the Manhattan Beach Property Owners Association (MBPOA) for an $800,000 donation for construction of the Senior and Scout Community Center (Center). Direction on the Contribution Agreement from the Manhattan Beach Property Owners Association.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
If the attached agreement is approved, the City would receive an $800,000 donation to be used toward construction of the Center. In addition, City Council has allocated $1.0 million in the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) toward construction of the Center. The MBPOA identified $100,000 of the $800,000 donation to be utilized solely to provide construction and furniture, fixtures and equipment enhancements to the dedicated Older Adult Space, with use of the $100,000 portion of the donation subject to MBPOA's advance approval.
