Staff recommends that the City Council:
1) Adopt Resolution No. 20-0133 awarding a Professional Services Agreement to Iteris, Inc. (Iteris) for engineering design services for the Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Peck Avenue Traffic Signal Improvement Project (Project) for $149,802, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the Agreement; and
2) Authorize the City Manager to increase compensation to Iteris by an amount not to exceed $30,000 for additional design services upon City request.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funding totaling $545,000 for the Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Peck Avenue (MBB/Peck) Traffic Signal Improvement Project was approved as part of the City's Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) under the Measure R Local Return Program. Project funding is anticipated to cover the cost of engineering design, environmental clearance and portion of construction costs. To address the potential shortfall, staff has applied for grant funds under Senate Bill 1 (SB1) Local Partnership Program (LPP); the Active Transportation Program (ATP); and the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Cycle 10 grant program.
