RECOMMENDATION:
At the request of Mayor Montgomery, staff recommends that the City Council revise the City Council Assignments to reflect the exchange of Delegate positions as follows:
• Appointment of Mayor Montgomery to the Downtown Manhattan Beach Business & Professional Association, replacing Councilmember Hersman.
• Appointment of Councilmember Hersman to the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair Association, replacing Mayor Montgomery.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
No fiscal implications are associated with the recommended action.
DISCUSSION:
City Council assignments to various governmental and community-related committees are the discretionary responsibility of each Mayor. Mayor Montgomery is requesting that the City Council approve the:
(1) appointment of Mayor Montgomery to the Downtown Business & Professionals Association and
(2) appointment of Councilmember Hersman to the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair Association.
Prior to this proposed exchange, Mayor Montgomery served as the delegate to the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair Association and Councilmember Hersman served as the delegate to the Downtown Business & Professionals Association. If City Council approves the new assignments, staff will revise the City Council Assignments list accordingly and notify the affected agencies of the new appointments.
