Recommended Action
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 20-0049, making an environmental determination and approving an amendment to an existing use permit, subject to conditions, for an expansion of an existing restaurant with full alcohol service (Manhattan Beach Post) into an adjacent vacant restaurant space (formerly Subway) in the same structure and expansion of hours of operation at 1142 and 1144 Manhattan Avenue.

BACKGROUND:
After conducting and closing a public hearing de novo on May 5, 2020, the City Council unanimously directed staff to draft a resolution to approve an amendment to an existing use permit to allow for the expansion of an existing restaurant with full alcohol service (Manhattan Beach Post - 1142 Manhattan Avenue) into the adjacent vacant restaurant space (formerly Subway - 1144 Manhattan Avenue) and expansion of the restaurant’s hours of operation, subject to conditions. Attached for Council consideration is Resolution No. 20-0049.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
There are no fiscal implications associated with the recommended action.
