Recommended Action

On December 12, 2018, the Planning Commission considered the item described below:

Body

a)                     Coastal Development Permit CA 18-17 and Vesting Tentative Parcel Map No. 82214 for the demolition of an existing single family residence and triplex and construction of Two Attached Residential Condominium Units at 4016 The Strand and 4017-4019 Ocean Drive (two half lots) in the appealable area of the Coastal Zone

 

On May 24, 2018, a Coastal Development Permit application was received from the applicant/owner, Greg Greenstein, 4016 The Strand, LLC to allow for the demolition of existing structures and construction of two new condominium units consisting of three stories with basement and two enclosed garages and open guest space per unit. 

 

On December 12, 2018, by a 4:0 vote, the Planning Commission approved the Coastal Development Permit CA 18-17 and Vesting Parcel Map No. 82214 for two condominium units at 4016 The Strand and 4017-4019 Ocean Drive with conditions.  A neighbor expressed concerns about construction worker parking which will be addressed during plan check, neighbor/contractor on-site meeting and throughout construction.
