Resolution No. 18-0161: 1) Awarding a Construction Contract to Elecnor Belco Electric Inc. (Belco) for $263,572 for the Pedestrian Safety Improvements Project on Highland Avenue at 34th, 35th and 36th Streets, and on Manhattan Beach Blvd at Morningside Drive; 2) Authorizing the City Manager to Approve Additional Work, if Necessary, for up to $26,428; 3) Approving the Plans and Specifications for the Pedestrian Safety Improvements Project, and 4) Approving the Re-Appropriation of $40,000 from the FY 14/15 Non-Motorized Transportation Crosswalks & Bike Lanes Project; 5) Approving the Re-appropriation of $110,000 from the FY 15/16 Annual Curb, Gutter and Ramp Replacement Project, and 6) Approving the Re-appropriation of $140,000 from the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan Within Public Rights of Way Project (Public Works Director Katsouleas).

Recommended Action
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 18-0161:
1) Awarding a construction contract to Elecnor Belco Electric Inc. (Belco) for $263,572 and authorizing the City Manager to execute the contract;
2) Authorizing the City Manager to approve additional work, if necessary, for up to $26,428;
3) Approving the plans and specifications for the Pedestrian Safety Improvements Project on Highland Ave at 34th, 35th and 36th Streets, and on Manhattan Beach Blvd. at Morningside Dr. (Attachment); and
4) Approving the re-appropriation of the following funds to the Pedestrian Safety Improvements Project on Highland Ave at 34th, 35th and 36th Streets, and on Manhattan Beach Blvd. at Morningside Dr.:
