Recommended Action
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council take the following actions:
A. Adopt Resolution No. 23-0034:
1. Approving an Inspection Services Agreement with Ardurra Group, Inc. for various capital improvement projects with a not-to-exceed amount of $592,856;
2. Authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement; and
B. Determine that pursuant to CEQA, the activity is Categorically Exempt pursuant to State Guidelines.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
The inspection agreement under consideration with Ardurra Group, Inc. is for a total amount not to exceed $592,856. The inspection services agreement covers various City Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) projects and, as such, the agreement will be funded from these multiple sources as per the proposal per project cost breakdown detailed below.
The Ceramics Studios Kiln Installation Project is included in the City's CIP with a project budget of $367,000 in the CIP Fund. The inspection services under consideration with Ardurra Group, Inc. will utilize $106,392 of this project's budget.
The Aviation Blvd Sidewalk Gap Project is included in the City's CIP with a project budget of $700,000 in the Measure R Fund with partial funding from Federal Transportation Authority (FTA) Section 5310 grant. The inspection services under consideration...
