On April 23, 2025, the Planning Commission considered the item described below.
Consideration of a Use Permit to allow the operation of a food and beverage sales use with off-sale of beer and wine, in conjunction with an ancillary eating and drinking establishment use with on-sale beer and wine located at 1121 Artesia Boulevard (The Butchery).

On January 30, 2025, the Community Development Department received an application requesting a use permit to allow the operation of a food and beverage sales use with off-sale of beer and wine, in conjunction with an ancillary eating and drinking establishment use with on-sale beer and wine, located at 1121 Artesia Boulevard. On April 23, 2025, the Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing to consider the request. After receiving a report from City staff, and testimony from the applicant, the Planning Commission voted 3-0-2 (Sistos and Hackett absent) to approve the use permit as recommended by staff and found the project exempt from further environmental review pursuant to CEQA.
