RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council adopt Resolution No. 25-0007:
1. Making a determination of exemption pursuant to Section 15301 Class 1(c) of the State CEQA Guidelines;
2. Approving the Final Plans and Specifications for the Cycle 2 Street Resurfacing Project at Marine Avenue and 14th Streets (Cycle 2 Street Project);
3. Awarding a Construction Agreement to Sequel Contractors, Inc. for the Cycle 2 Street Project for $1,648,236; and
4. Authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement and authorizing the City Manager and/or his or her designee to approve an extra work contingency up to $165,000.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
Sufficient funds of $1,970,236 are currently available for the Cycle 2 Street Project. Approximately $1,445,636 will be utilized from the Gas Tax Fund and $524,600 from the Measure R Fund for the Annual Street Resurfacing Program. A Budget and Expenditures Summary Report is attached.

The City of Manhattan Beach is responsible for repairing and maintaining approximately 106 linear miles of street that vary in age and condition requiring varying treatments periodically to keep them at high standards.
