Recommended Action
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council:

1) Formally accept as complete the CT&T Concrete Paving, Inc. construction contract;
2) Authorize the filing of the Notice of Completion with the County Recorder; and
3) Release the retention of $8,221.55.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
The Citywide Concrete Repairs Cycle 1 Project construction agreement was awarded in the amount of $208,250 with an authorized construction contingency amount of $41,750. The work was successfully completed for $164,431.00. After acceptance of CT&T Concrete Paving's work and the filing of the Notice of Completion, retention will be released and the remaining unexpended balance will be disencumbered and remain in the Annual Citywide Concrete Repairs Program within the Gas Tax Fund for use in a future cycle of curb, gutter, and ramp replacement.

BACKGROUND:
On January 18, 2022, the City Council awarded a construction agreement to CT&T Concrete Paving Inc. (CT&T), as the successful lowest bidder, for $208,250 for the Citywide Concrete Repairs Cycle 1 Project. City Council also authorized the City Manager to approve additional work for up to $41,750.
