Receive report regarding Southern California Gas Company's Capital Improvement

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Southern California Gas Company has an on-going program to conduct reliability analyses of their existing pipeline network within Manhattan Beach and perform pipeline repairs and replacements where necessary to ensure safe and reliable services to its customers. Their analyses also consider installation of new pipeline networks, both distribution and transmission services, to ensure redundancy and reliability in the manner in which they convey their product to their customers. Representatives from Southern California Gas will be providing a PowerPoint Presentation of their upcoming projects.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
BACKGROUND:
The Southern California Gas Company has prepared a presentation on their upcoming Capital Improvement Program that will be implemented over time in order to ensure reliability in serving customers in Manhattan Beach.
DISCUSSION:
Faviola Ochoa, South Bay Public Affairs Manager for Southern California Gas Company, will be providing a PowerPoint presentation on their Capital Improvement
Program (Attachment #1). Their upcoming pipeline reliability and replacement project near the intersection of Highland Avenue and Rosecrans Avenue will take place right after Labor Day and is anticipated to be completed before Thanksgiving.
