BACKGROUND & DISCUSSION:
The League of California Cities is an association of California city officials who work together to enrich and exchange knowledge, skills and resources to strengthen local city government. The League of California Cities Annual Conference & Expo took place on Wednesday, September 18th through Friday, September 20th, 2013 in Sacramento. Mayor David Lesser, Councilmembers Wayne Powell and Tony D'Errico and the City Attorney attended this conference. A number of extremely informative seminars took place concerning new legislation, finances, economic development, recent case law, new trends, engaging the public in decision-making, and other items directly affecting the City of Manhattan Beach. Attached is the listing of events that took place. The program is a public document that is available to the public on line at <http://www.cacities.org/AC>.
