Recommended Action
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council:
1. Approve professional services agreement with Anderson Penna for Project Management Services for the Roundhouse Aquarium Project in the amount of $145,898,
2. Authorize the City Manager to approve a professional services contingency in an amount not-to-exceed $14,590,
3. Authorize City Manager to execute agreement.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
The proposed aquarium renovation project is expected to be primarily funded by the Harrison Greenberg Memorial Foundation (Foundation). The Foundation has pledged $1.25 million towards the project and will undertake additional fundraising efforts to meet the estimated total project cost range between $1.6M and $2.5M. Per the Cooperative Agreement for the Roundhouse Aquarium project, the Foundation will be depositing $160,488 with the City to fund this effort prior to the City entering a contract with Anderson Penna. No City funds will be used to pay for these services.


BACKGROUND:
The Foundation led by Mr. Greenberg has proposed to make a major investment to fully renovate the existing Roundhouse Aquarium located at the end of the pier.
