RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 26-0082:
1. Accepting a Temporary Construction Easement Deed for 1119 North Sepulveda Boulevard, dated June 1, 2026, made by Anthony and Joann Fanticola Family Limited Partnership, a California Limited Partnership (Property Owner); and
2. Authorizing the City Manager and/or his or her designee to execute the Temporary Construction Easement and any other forms necessary on behalf of the City, and to record said grant of rights; and
3. Authorize payment to the Property Owner of Forty Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($40,500.00).
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
The Manhattan Beach and Sepulveda Boulevard Intersection Improvement Project (Project) is included in the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Plan with a budgeted cost of $2,460,593 in the Proposition C Fund. Funding for this project consists of a $2,046,000 grant from the Measure R South Bay Highway Program and $414,593 in Proposition C local return funds.
Based on the Appraisal Report prepared by Interwest, dated August 21, 2025, the value of the Temporary Construction Easement Deed is $40,500 for the property located at 1119 North Sepulveda Boulevard, which is within the project's budget. A Budget and Expenditures Summary Report is provided as an attachment.
