RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council:
a) Waive formal bidding per Municipal Code Section 2.36.150 (cooperative purchasing);
b) Authorize the City Manager to purchase one portable wastewater pump in the amount of $35,464.05 from Xylem Dewatering Solutions.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
The total cost to purchase this unit is $35,464.05. Funds totaling $87,000 are budgeted in the fiscal year 2012-2013 Public Works Department budget for this expenditure.
