RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 25-0101 approving Amendment No. 2 to the agreement with Control Automation Design, Inc., for Drinking Water SCADA system programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting services, at a cost not-to-exceed $374,900.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
The initial contract with Control Automation Design, Inc., and subsequent Amendment No. 1, were approved under the City Manager's awarding authority in accordance with the City's purchasing policy. The current contract term extends through June 30, 2026, with provisions for two, one-year extensions.
Amendment No. 2 will:
* Extend the contract through June 30, 2027, with the allowance for one additional one-year extension; and
* Increase the contract amount by $300,000, for a new total not-to-exceed $374,900.
A total of $101,400 has been appropriated from the Water Fund in the adopted Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-26 Budget. Future years will be budgeted accordingly.
BACKGROUND:
The City utilizes a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system to monitor and control its water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure, including wells, reservoirs, pumps, valves, and chemical systems.
