Staff recommends that City Council adopt Resolution No. 23-0019:
1. Approving Measure R Funding Agreement Amendment No. 3 between the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) and City of Manhattan Beach for $1,066,000 in additional Measure R grant funds to fund the development of design plans, specifications, right-of-way acquisition, and construction of the Manhattan Beach Boulevard (MBB) and Sepulveda Boulevard Intersection Improvement Project.
2. Authorizing the City Manager and/or his or her designee to execute the Measure R Grant Funding Agreement Amendment No. 3 and any subsequent administrative amendments.
3. Appropriating $1,066,000 from the Proposition C Fund in the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for the Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard Intersection Improvement Project and adjusting corresponding revenues.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
The MBB and Sepulveda Boulevard Intersection Improvement Project is included in the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Plan with a budgeted cost of $1,394,593 in the Proposition C Fund. Funding for this project consists of a $980,000 grant from the Measure R South Bay Highway Program and $414,593 in Proposition C local return funds.
