On October 25, 2023, the Planning Commission considered the item described below, the application for which was received by the Community Development Director on June 2, 2023. 

 

1.                     A Master Use Permit Amendment to allow extended hours of operation for an existing medical office use (Suite #150) within an existing commercial building located at 1000 North Sepulveda Boulevard, and an environmental determination for the project in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act.

 

The October 25, 2023 Planning Commission meeting was duly noticed on October 12, 2023. Staff received three public comments, expressing support, in advance of the hearing. Two members of the public spoke during public comment at the meeting; one was the applicant’s representative and one was the applicant. Based on substantial evidence in the record, and pursuant to the Manhattan Beach Municipal Code, the Planning Commission adopted the resolution approving the project and adopted the environmental determination (4-0-1 ayes-nays-recusal), in accordance with staff’s recommendation.

Pursuant to Manhattan Beach Municipal Code Section 10.100.010, Planning Commission quasi-judicial decisions can be appealed by any member of the public within 15 days of the decision. Pursuant to Manhattan Beach Municipal Code Section 10.100.020, Planning Commission quasi-judicial decisions will be reviewed by the Council if two Councilmembers each file a Council review form within 15 days of the Commission’s decision.
