Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 24-0023:

1. Approving a professional services agreement with Pacifica Services, Inc. in the amount of $229,320 for construction management and inspection services for the Cycle 2 Water Infrastructure Improvement and Street Resurfacing Project (Project); and
2. Authorizing the City Manager and/or his or her designee to execute the agreement.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
Sufficient funds of $229,320 are available for the professional services agreement with Pacifica Services, Inc. within the Water Fund. A Budget and Expenditure Summary Report is attached.

BACKGROUND:
The Cycle 2 Water Infrastructure Improvement and Street Resurfacing Project consists of excavation, installation of roughly 3,300 linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron pipe, installation of 30 gate valves, curb to curb pavement rehabilitation, 15 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramp replacements, and all appurtenant work as shown on the plans and delineated in the specifications. Additionally, five street segments within the project area will be resurfaced over the entire width of the roadway, ensuring enhanced durability and user experience for the community.
