Presentation of Honorary Designation for Culturally Significant Landmarks.

Recommended Action
The City Council of the City of Manhattan Beach does hereby proudly recognize the honorary designation of the following culturally significant landmarks:
1) 1000 The Strand (The Charles Owen Home) - Single family home - built in 1922, Craftsman style, California Bungalow design, double hung casement windows, low pitched roof, multiple roof planes and wide overhanging eaves.
2) 1001 John Street (The Arneal Home)- Single family home - built in 1950, one story California ranch style, family owned 50 years, low flat roof, copper raft-ends, redwood exterior walls, and large single pane windows.
3) 624 15th Street (American Martyrs Catholic Church) - American Martyrs Catholic Church, built in mid-1950’s, Gothic Revival Architecture, mid 20th Century brick walls, high-pitched roof, glass side windows, arched entrance and artistic high Bell Tower.
